Agemark Senior Living once again named a Great Place to Work.

October 28, 2022

Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE have once again honored Agemark Senior Living as one of the 2021 Best Workplaces for Aging Services. Agemark was named the 12th best place to work in senior housing for the small/medium company division.

The ranking considered feedback representing 220,000 employees working for Great Place to Work-Certified™ organizations in senior housing & care and at-home care in the aging services industry. Agemark, a parent company and management company of Holland Farms, has been recognized for four consecutive years.

Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. 85% of Agemark employees said the company was a great place to work compared to 59% of employees at a typical U.S. based company.

Marty Hug, COO of Agemark Senior Living says, “We are once again, honored that our employees think so highly of Agemark and truly trust us. The last year has been particularly tough for all of us who work with seniors. Our staff have been asked to go above and beyond, and they have delivered. We’re thrilled that Agemark employees feel good about being here. We’re a successful company because we are a reflection of our people, who are the best in the industry.”

More than 700 Agemark employees submitted responses. Of those surveyed, 90% mentioned that they were proud to tell others they worked for Agemark and that the company truly made them feel welcome, while 93% mentioned that their work had special meaning and felt like more than “just a job”.

Agemark employee Amanda Wilson says, “Agemark has changed my life. I’ve learned so much and grown in ways I never thought possible. I started in a caregiving role, have earned several promotions, and now serve as Life Enrichment Coach, where my role is to plan activities, have fun with residents in our care and make sure they experience joy every day. I wake up each morning, ready to give residents my all. I’m beyond thankful that I’m a part of such a special company!”
